Welcome to the well-renowned village Pont-Aven. Located on the west coast of France at the tip of the Aven River, this picturesque village was the home of watermills and shipping merchants.
Today, the river offers shelter to oyster and mussel farms which are a local delicacy. Drawn by Pont-Aven’s unmatched beauty and light, Paul Gauguin once lived here to create much of his work. The artistic community and tradition remains strong. The village is home to the Pont-Aven School of Contemporary Art.
